The Network Operations Centre (NOC) is absolutely crucial to any Hosting service. Although air conditioning, fire retardants, and generator electricity backup is important it's also about consistent product lines and availability of spare parts. The quicker a spare can be fetched the sooner a server can be back online. The NOC we use sources all Servers from the one company and all parts are interchangeable. A good supply of spares is kept onhand and if they run out they simply pull apart an unused Server. It's often the small things which mean excellence. We have the know-how and incentive to demand the best and to get it.

Does anybody else offer the Server Admin to do support? - No they don't. You don't want to be sitting on phone queues or getting rung back during dinner.
